Apostos is a standalone webcomic by weyylh that began serialization on {Month ##, YYYY}. It has no connection to anything in Oltesos or Delrna.
Synopsis
Aya is a Hunter— one of a special few born to defeat the 7 dragons that torment the land. She dreams of being called to her purpose until one day, the dragons came to her. With her family now trapped in a magical sleep, Aya must finally put to the test her training for this very moment. If she can set aside her social media addiction, that is.
Plot
whatever spoiler code we have
summarize the plot as concisely as you can, while still explaining major events.
Characters
Eos / Aya
The protagonist. A Dragon Hunter who grew up in a family with a long history of Hunters, she dreamed of being an action hero one day.
Astraeus / Astra
Aya's best friend. We mostly see him through Aya's Livelr+ feed while she adventures, giving helpful advice and cheering her on.
Noegth
The Dark Dragon, and the one who put Aya's neighborhood to sleep. Their intentions are mysterious, appearing suddenly to give Aya her quest.
Hyperius
The Light Dragon, and seemingly the leader of the dragons. He shows up often to clean up the other dragons' messes.
Anemeus
The Wind Dragon, and inexplicably Aya's biggest fan? Who knows what's going through that birdbrain's head.

Development
The original story was made back in 2017, making this a more “recent” piece than most of weyylh's other projects. It was put on the back burner to put time towards the first 3 stories in Oltesos, but ultimately was brought back in 2025 when it became the simplest project to create.
The story was originally going to be told in a standard comic form, but the addition of social media made working that into the plot something of a chore. Not knowing how to implement the constant phone chatter, it was decided to use the characters' feeds as the framing device for telling the story. This allowed weyylh to order the posts and events in a more natural way while also giving it a unique flavor in storytelling. It also helped with integrating certain “twists” in the plot, by allowing the slow build of events through character interactions online, and making breaks from that format have more weight.
Trivia
- This was called “Dragonchild” until i realized that was too similar to Dragonhearted so i made up a word that was supposed to look “vaguely Greek”.
- Looking up “apostos” gave several possible translations in Portugese that.. kinda made sense, i guess. i still kept it, obviously.
- Hyperius, Anemeus, and Astra used to be Asterius, Anemeus, and Aelius, respectively, but the names were way too similar and confusing, so only Anemeus remains.
