Eltyrium
Eltyrium is an element found throughout Oltesos and other universes within the weyylh multiverse.
Properties
A bright purple crystal in its natural (or “untuned”) state, it holds an immense amount of magical energy. On many planets where it spawns, it is mined either for its magic or merely as a gemstone. The effects of mining the mineral is currently under investigation.
Breathing in fine particles of Eltyrium for long periods of time (or exceedingly large quantities in a short amount of time) can lead to Eltyrium poisoning. How this manifests itself differs between species and the local climate. There are also rumors that ingesting raw Eltyrium in its crystal form can prolong one's lifespan, perhaps indefinitely, but no conclusive proof has been found.
The crystal, through its magical properties, can also absorb other elements, including the scientific (zinc, helium, oxygen, etc) and the fantastic (fire, earth, water, etc), allowing for the output of energy, either by way of technology or artificially casting magic. There are rumors of some people being able to learn how to cast the magic themselves without the Eltyrium's assistance by learning to understand the rock and how the magic flows through it, but it's difficult to confirm those people's existence.

Known Occurrences
Locations where Eltyrium develops naturally.
Oltesos
Genis Tria
Present throughout Genis Tria, but in especially high amounts on Radionus and some of Kalirifus's moons. On inhabited planets, it's used as an alternative power source, but it's use as a tool of magic is considered taboo, with only a small group of people on Ontalius having learned how to harness its powers.
On Lucerifus, some theorize it may even be the source of all magic in the universe, and what gave the first sentient races their power, allowing them to create the “lesser” races, as well as the flower. This is, however, unproven, and evidence points towards the magic of the flower and the magic of Eltyrium being two separate things.
Genis Sesa
No Eltyrium has been observed in Genis Sesa.
Exis Una
Levis Dosa
Dayalis
Kalidene
Formarcha
Referred to as Eternity by the locals, after Eterna, once it became so condensed that Eltyrium poisoning was almost inescapable. At one point, Eltyrium acted as the lifeblood of Formarcha (and even exists in smaller quantities on Kalidene), with beautiful crystals decorating the landscape. But then it was corrupted by Eterna, and as such, Eternity soon came to everyone, should they not die before they succumb to it. Justo, by taking the Eltyrium into himself, was able to lessen the damage caused by Eternity, and those who form a pact with him turned to crystal, rather than Fraeth.
Delrna and Raldna
Eltyrium forms throughout Delrna-B, Delrna-K, and Raldna. In Delrna B and K, it only holds power within Liltu, Kindor, Nobten, and Limetus, while within the other universes, it's completely worthless as anything more than a pretty jewel. In Raldna, it's found in all four known universes.
Liltu and Etyros
In Liltu (both Delrnas) and Etyros, Eltyrium is used as a medium for using magic, but unlike most other places, is commonly accepted, though not widely used, due to the amount of discipline required to control the magical energy. Magic users in Etyros keep their methods of obtaining Eltyrium a secret, unaware of the commercialized mining happening under their feet.
The element also shows evidence of a hidden peculiarity, in that these worlds contain a “mirror” (akin to a parallel dimension) of themselves, caused by the element from an as of yet unknown trigger. However, in Liltu, the mirror world (Joxtu) is stable and exists in harmony with its “reflection” (Lixta), while in Etyros, the mirror world is still in the process of forming, which is a chaotic experience for anyone caught up in the tearing of spacetime.
In all three universes, veins of Eltyrium can be found in several caves on Earth and other planets, and it's theorized the mining of the mineral is what caused the splitting of Etyros, but it's unclear how this differs from other methods of obtaining the element.
While Liltu and Etyros both have mirror worlds, Liltu has special pathways between Joxtu and Lixta in the form of special mirrors made of Eltyrium (thus why they are referred to as the “mirror world”), but Etyros has yet to devise a way to traverse the two dimensions.
Another oddity between Liltu and Etyros is that the realms of Joxtu and Lixta have seemingly mirrored people in each realm, known as the other's “reflection”. Despite living separate lives, there is a strong tendency to continue to share similar family trees, although one's reflection does not always have the “same” parents. Etyros operates differently, at least during its chaotic period, in that it steals people from the original dimension and transfers them to the mirror dimension. There have been reports that some people, failing to be taken to the mirror world, were instead thrown elsewhere, while a copy of themselves (strongly resembling the changes between Liltu's reflections) is then created inside Etyros's mirror dimension. Those born in these mirror worlds have a natural ability to use magic— as beings of a world made from Eltyrium, they have its magic in their blood.

Trivia and Background
- The rock's name comes from Eltyria, a character from Delrna. Storywise, however, Eltyria's name comes from the rock.
